The Machars presents some very easy cycling routes, many of which are well signposted. In addition, the great majority of roads, particularly the lanes are very quiet, and ideal for anyone who wants to enjoy unstressful cycling.

Machars Cycle Route signpostThere are very few routes where serious hill climbing is the order of the day. The Isle is a popular venue for groups - small and large - especially during the summer months, but remember that there are fine days in the winter when, in a virtually frost-free climate, cycling can be just as enjoyable!
